Noah Homes is holding its 6th annual Enchanted Village, taking place over eight acres this December in Spring Valley. Each night includes live musical performances, carolers, hundreds of candy canes and Christmas trees, holiday displays and more to benefit the nonprofit that provides housing and care to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Enchanted Village runs Dec. 15-22 from 5-8 p.m.
Noah Homes Program Marketing Manager Samantha Andico said Enchanted Village is the organizations holiday extravaganza for all ages and this year there are many new fun activities for guests.
“We have Holiday Barbie in attendance this year. We have a few new food trucks coming for the Enchanted Village, and we have many new performers as well,” she said. “There are many new things for people to expect. We have an all-new light show for our holiday tree this year.”
Andico said some of the performers this year are the Santa Sophie Handbell Choir and Children’s Choir, Noah Homes Choir, Steele Canyon High School Choir, and the Encore Vocal Ensemble.
For guests who prefer to experience the Enchanted Village by daylight, the event will open at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, December 19, for a special Lights Before Dusk hour, geared toward seniors and those with special needs, disabilities, or sensory sensitivity. After 5 p.m., regular displays and music will resume, she said.
Andico said this year’s event is a walkthrough event and that Noah Homes residents are extremely excited to participate.
“Last year, we were able to employ 10 of our residents to work at the Enchanted Village, and we are going to hire those residents again. They will be greeting guests, serving hot chocolate, and you will be able to say hello as you walk through the Enchanted Village,” she said.
Andico said this year’s light tunnel expands through the property.
“It is like being transported into a magical tunnel of light,” she said. “It is a great photo opportunity, and it takes you from one end of the village to the other.”
Andico said guest can enjoy favorite holiday characters, such as Santa and his elves, Buddy the Elf, Holiday Barbie, Silverbell & Sasha, Mickey & Minne Mouse, Spiderman, and the Grinch & Cindy Lou Who.
Food for purchase is being provided by Bread & Cheese Catering, Baby’s Badass Burgers, The Go Go Truck, Mrs. Claus Kitchen, Barbacoa La Familia, Simply Fresh Food Truck, Thumbs Up! Bacon & BBQ, and Doggos Gus.
