LAKESIDE WATER FALL

Approximately 4.5 acres burned in a Lakeside brush fire that started in the San Diego riverbed near Willow Avenue and Highway 67 in the late afternoon Aug. 31. By 6:30 p.m., forward progression of the fire had stopped and Lakeside Fire Protection District responders were working to contain the area. No injuries were reported.
